If you know what you’re looking for, which by now you likely do, there’s no reason to waste time. Bumble is hugely popular, but the options for the over-40 crowd are fewer than in other age groups.

Bumble is similar to Tinder in the sense that you’ll swipe yes or no on potential matches, but it’s different in that the woman has to start the conversation in the first 24 hours after matching. Women tend to favor this app because there’s a lower chance of getting creepy one-liners as conversation openers, which in turn becomes a plus for men who want to meet women who are actually looking for the real deal. The most challenging thing about dating apps is dealing with the sheer volume of potential matches.
